Women’s Champion League has come to the group stage after playing several matches.
Arsenal is in group C with Lyon and the Italian champions Juventus and Zürich. In last season’s final, Lyon beat Barcelona by 3-1, and they have the title of winning the Champions League eight times, which will be a tricky Group C challenge. Juventus will also be challenging for other group members as they have under the coaching of Joe Montemurro, who previously was the manager of Arsenal.
Chelsea is in Group A with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-German, and the Albanian club Vllaznia. In Group A, the game will be challenging for Real Madrid and Vllazina because group A includes the last season’s semi-finalist PSG and WSL title holders Chelsea.
Wolfsburg is in Group B with Slavia Prague, Roma, and the Austrian club St Pölten. In group B, Wolfsburg will be challenging for the other group members as they are last season’s quarter-finalists.
Barcelona is in group D with Bayern Munich, Rosengård, and Benfica. Bayern and Barcelona will be challenging for other group members as Bayern includes the three important players, Lucy Bronze, Keira Walsh, and Lioness Georgia. Barcelona is the previous winner of the Women’s Champions League, which will be challenging for other teams.
The Women’s Champion League matches will occur between 19th October and 23rd December, and the final is scheduled for Philips Stadium on 3 or 4 June.
